The Shannon Limit

study for The Shannon Limit (16mm) Work in progress just back from the lab in which the capacity of our perception is tested with endless frame per frame shots that are related, but not animated and projected at a non standard framerate. Inspired by a limit introduced by Claude Shannon in 1948: Channel capacity can be understood as the maximum amount of information that can be transmitted and fully recovered in a specific channel.
