Overview

Liliane Caplet, Lily to her friends, was born and died in Reims. She married a supermarket employee, had lovers, and gave birth to five children. She lived the most ordinary life of a stay-at-home mother. But in eighty-four years of life as an ordinary housewife, enough happens to draw an entire city.
