Hungarian Folk Tales: The Two Princes with Hair of Gold

Overview

While the prince is fighting in the war, his wife bears him two sons with golden-blond hair. The Iron-Nosed Witch, who wanted the prince to marry her daughter, kidnaps and buries the babies, replacing them with two puppies. When the prince learns of the puppies' birth, he, in a rage, has his wife murdered and marries the witch's daughter.
