Overview

The late 2000s. Fifteen-year-old Kira doesn't return home after her friend's birthday party and begins saving up to escape the city—far from home, where the rules are made by those who don't know how to live their own lives. While Kira and her friend take their children for pony rides and save for the trip, her dreams of a new life are overtaken by the consequences: a manhunt, the police, and a mother willing to regain control of her daughter at any cost. A self-ironic coming-of-age drama, where fantasies of freedom help her withstand the pressures of reality.
