This film is arguably Nestler's angriest documentary. It is a bitter personal statement about life in the Ruhr region: the fight against fascism, the reality of communism and his own struggle for acceptance in his native Germany. It confronts viewers with a sequence of rigid images that are accompanied by seemingly frozen voices, giving evidence of one big frustration. Nestler makes no compromise.
