Overview

This animated short depicts the evolution of the alphabet from Egyptian picture-symbols to Roman letters and the modern English alphabet. Each letter is traced from its Egyptian inception through Semitic, Phoenician, Greek and Roman usages. Dates on the screen indicate the approximate period of each change.
