Biography

Emi Motokawa (born October 4, 1976), better known by her ring name Emi Sakura, is a Japanese professional wrestler. She has owned and operated the Japanese promotion ChocoPro (formerally Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling) since 2012, and makes occasional appearances for American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and across the Japanese independent scene.

After starting her career in the International Wrestling Association of Japan (IWA Japan), Sakura worked for several promotions across the country, before founding her own promotion, Ice Ribbon. She went on to become a two-time ICE×60 Champion and a then-record five-time International Ribbon Tag Team Champion, and was the promotion's primary trainer of new talent, before leaving in 2011. Sakura also held top singles and tag team championships in JWP Joshi Puroresu (JWP) and NEO Japan Ladies Pro Wrestling (NEO), which lead her to winning the 2009 Tokyo Sports Joshi Puroresu Grand Prize.
