George Tounas
Biography
George Tounas is an award-winning actor and filmmaker, best known for City Rush 4 (2025) with Oscar and Golden Globe nominee Eric Roberts, Reloaded 3 (2025), Dr. Jason II: Lights & Shadows (2024), Reloaded 2 (2024), City Rush 3 (2023), Dr. Jason (2022) and Reloaded (2021). All these movies are licensed by major international distributors like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Tubi, Fawesome, Plex and many more. He has appeared in numerous films, TV series and commercials.
George attended the New York Film Academy in New York City, where he completed a four-week full-time actor training program and received a diploma in 2005. In 2009 he completed a two-month full-time professional actor training program at the TVI Actors Studio, also located in New York City. During this time, he resided in the Upper West Side of Manhattan for four months. In 2010 George briefly visited Los Angeles and participated in a one-day intensive master class at the Stella Adler Academy of Acting and Theatre in Hollywood.
In fact George graduated from the University of Applied Sciences Mannheim in communication design in 2004, which is equivalent to a Master of Fine Arts degree. He is also an award-winning creative and art director, designer and front-end developer. Additionally he pursued studies at the TEI of Athens in Greece.
George is Greek and was born and grew up in Germany. He more often uses the more international English version of his first name. George holds dual citizenship in Greece and Germany. He is multilingual and fluent in English, Greek and German, and has a working knowledge of French. In 2010/11 he voluntarily served as a soldier in the Greek Army.
George maintains a strong athletic physique and excels in various sports. He was one of the top long jumpers in Greece and Germany, achieving jumps near 8 meters and participating in numerous championships. He also began his career as a model, appearing on runways in the late 1990s. George continues to be occasionally booked for modeling assignments.
He has been married since 2012 and has two children.
