Daniel Roby showcases an impressive directorial versatility across diverse styles and genres. His debut, the genre-blending horror "La Peau Blanche" (White Skin, 2004), earned acclaim, winning the Claude Jutra Award for best Canadian debut feature and the Best Canadian First Feature Film award at TIFF.

His subsequent works, the disco drama "Funkytown" (2011) and the historical biopic "Louis Cyr" (2013) portraying the renowned strongman, were box office successes in Québec.
