



Iñaki Amechazurra

Biography
Iñaki Amechazurra is a Miami-based filmmaker with a BAS in Film Production Technology from Miami Dade College. He has worked across multiple areas of filmmaking, with a strong focus on writing, directing, post-production editing, and serving as a digital imaging technician on set.
He has written, directed, and edited several short films, most notably the horror film Mimic, which received recognition at the Arts Accelerator Film Festival and the Serbest International Film Festival, and won the Audience Choice Award at the FilmGate Horror Film Festival. Through years of hands-on experience, Iñaki has continued to sharpen his craft by learning directly from each project he works on, both his own and others’. His work spans short films, music videos, and commercials, contributing in a wide range of production and post-production roles.
After a two-year hiatus from directing, Iñaki returns behind the camera with The Glass Child, his first dramatic film. With this project, he steps into new creative territory, shifting from genre storytelling into more personal, character-driven narratives. His work is rooted in exploring complex emotions, family dynamics, and human vulnerability, drawing inspiration from lived experiences and a commitment to telling honest, emotionally resonant stories.
