Barry Young
Biography
Wolfgang (real name Barry Young) is a Scottish professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), performing on their NXT UK brand. He was born on August 22, 1986 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Before becoming a wrestler, Young worked as a roofer and played rugby. He began his wrestling career in 2003, training under Scottish wrestler Mikey Whiplash. Young competed on the Scottish independent wrestling circuit under the ring name Seb Strife, before adopting the ring name Wolfgang in 2012.
Wolfgang gained national recognition when he appeared on the first season of the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament in 2017. He advanced to the quarterfinals before being defeated by Trent Seven. Later that year, Wolfgang signed with WWE and became a regular on their NXT UK brand.
Throughout his career, Wolfgang has held several championships. He is a one-time Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) World Heavyweight Champion, a two-time ICW Tag Team Champion, and a one-time Scottish Wrestling Alliance (SWA) Laird of the Ring Champion. He also held the WWE NXT UK Tag Team Championship twice with his partner Mark Coffey as part of the stable Gallus.
