Gilbert and Sullivan wrote operas together. They collaborated for over 25 years and created a total of 14 comic operas. Sullivan's memorable melodies are matched to Gilbert's often tongue-twisting words. These operas are as popular today as they were when they were first perform over a 100 years ago.
