Imagine: you get the chance to pack your bags and head to New York right away. That's what happens to five young people this fall in the VTM GO series The Big Waffle. They work at a waffle stand called Wafels & Dinges, run by Leuven native and entrepreneur Thomas De Geest. He himself moved to the States almost thirty years ago—never to return. The five immerse themselves in real New York life. They live together. They work together. And they throw their entire lives online: from their first subway ride to the crazy end-of-year pressure behind the counter. They become New Yorkers among New Yorkers. Four long months, 24/7. Why would you sleep in a city that never sleeps?
