Alfonso, the son of a deposed king, falls for Estrella, the daughter of the current king, Mauregato. But Adolpho wants Estrella's hand in marriage and wages war against Mauregato when he refuses. Now Alfonso must fight to save the woman he loves in this compelling version of Franz Schubert's opera, which was never performed during the composer's lifetime.
