Életrajz

Juan García Atienza was a multifaceted Spanish writer, filmmaker, and researcher renowned for his contributions to literature and cinema. He earned a degree in Romance Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid, where he also pursued studies in cinematography. Atienza began his career as a film critic for various specialized magazines, which led to his involvement in the film industry as a screenwriter, assistant director, and producer. He directed several short films and the feature film Los dinamiteros (1964), a comedy inspired by Italian neorealism. In the 1970s, Atienza shifted his focus to writing, producing over 50 books that delve into historical and anthropological themes, particularly exploring the mysteries of the Middle Ages and the legacy of the Knights Templar. His seminal work, Guía de la España mágica (1981), is considered a cornerstone in the study of Spain's mystical heritage.
