Ten—year-old Varvara Smorodina is a real child prodigy, an extremely intelligent and well-read girl. Arriving for the summer at his grandparents in the village of Riding, Varya is faced with a lot of mysterious crimes and undertakes investigations together with his new friend, the simple—minded village boy Vasya.
